Strade Recap

The only thing that was surprising was the duration the protagonist went solo for.

81 kilometers.

That’s how far from the finish Tadej Pogacar attacked to win Strade Bianche 2024 by nearly three minutes. According to Velon, his average power was 340 watts for over two hours solo. Not bad including all of those descents where you have to coast! In reality, I might’ve expected a little bit higher to eviscerate the race like he did. What do I know.

Popular (and at his best level ever) Toms Skujins won the battle for second, and Maxim van Gils was strong for third. Pidcock was a further minute behind in fourth *clown emoji*.

Not much I can say about this one besides that Pogacar looks stronger than ever. The rest of the peloton ought to be pretty worried about the 2024 reign of terror he’s about to institute.

I didn’t get the Paris-Nice or Tirreno previews up in time; both races have commenced. But I’ll preview the remaining stages.
