Fleche Recap

Well, he did it again. Tadej Pogacar easily won the sprint up the Mur de Huy to win Fleche Wallonne for the first time in his career.

There is not much to say about this race. It was another boring edition. A fairly weak breakaway went up the road and survived longer than it should have. UAE controlled the race from start to finish. There were a few counterattacks from the second ascent of the mur (37k from the finish) from lesser riders which were always doomed. UAE swept up the leaders right as the final mur began and delivered Pogacar in perfect position. He did the business in the final 200 meters and offered a long post-up celebration.

Next up is Liege-Bastogne-Liege and we will see if the Slovenian can add to his legendary palmares.
